Heidi Fardell is a distinguished British recorderplayer and baroque flautist with a vibrant career as a performer, educator andadjudicator. She regularly appears with leading early and contemporary musicensembles across the UK, has recorded for BBC Radio 3 and been featured on BBCRadio 4, and co-directs the Banbury Early Music Festival. Heidi holds a BMus(Hons) and MMus in performance from Goldsmiths University and a PgCert inBaroque flute from Birmingham Conservatoire, having studied with eminent specialistsin recorder and flute.
Passionate about music education, she has taught forover two decades in diverse settings, including a long post at Trinity LabanConservatoire’s Junior Department, and delivers bespoke workshops for venuessuch as Kensington Palace, Tate Britain and the National Gallery. Heidi isVice-Chair of the European Recorder Teachers Association (UK) and adjudicatesfor the British & International Federation of Festivals, bringinginsightful, encouraging feedback to performers of all ages.
