Ian is a highly accomplished British tuba player,educator, and brass specialist, currently serving as the Director of Brass atRugby School. A professional musician with the Royal Shakespeare Company (RSC)since 2005, he has performed with prestigious ensembles including the City ofBirmingham Symphony Orchestra, Fine Arts Brass Ensemble, and The London TubaQuartet.
Ian is a dedicated educator, providing low brasstutoring for the National Youth Wind Orchestra and the CBSO Youth Orchestra. Heleads music partnerships and the "Hands on Brass" program at BiltonGrange Preparatory School. He earned his musical foundation at the BirminghamConservatoire and the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. His solo album,Handel to Valhalla, showcases his versatility and mastery of the tuba.
